McKaye grew up in Southern Idaho. She enjoyed an active lifestyle and participated in many sports and outdoor adventures, though, by age 15, her life took a significant turn as she was finding success in competitive gymnastics. McKaye tragically suffered a traumatic neck injury, which ended her dreams of a professional career in gymnastics before she achieved her goals. After breaking her neck, she was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and needed something beyond narcotics and Western medicine to improve her life. Yoga became her way to cope with the loss of her dreams and alleviate her chronic symptoms.

At age 18, she became certified with Bodhi Yoga Alliance and has continually pursued furthering her education for holistic healing.
McKaye now lives in Utah County as a mother and wife assisting self-healers like herself on their journeys to wellness through various healing modalities such as Chinese medicine, life coaching, breath work, nervous system regulation, and yoga.
